Bespoke Study Storage in Congleton, Cheshire

Hart Bespoke Furniture designed and crafted a bespoke study storage and bookcase unit for a client in Congleton, Cheshire. The brief was to create a functional yet refined space that could house a personal model collection, accommodate a 3D printer, and bring a sense of order and craftsmanship to a well-used home study.

Project Highlights

  • The cabinetry was spray finished in Farrow & Ball Caulke Green, a sophisticated, muted tone that gives the study a warm, distinguished character while complementing the natural materials used throughout.
  • An oak top was used across the unit, adding warmth and a tactile natural quality that contrasts beautifully against the painted finish.
  • The back panels were crafted in oak with a clear lacquer finish, creating a rich, warm backdrop that enhances the display of models and books without competing with them.
  • Hardware was carefully chosen to match the refined character of the piece. The Hendel & Hendel Barrington Eclipse handles in Antique Brass add a premium, traditional detail that elevates the finished result.
  • The lower section of the unit features four doors providing generous closed storage, keeping everyday study essentials neatly out of sight.
  • The upper section is open throughout, providing display space for Mr J’s model collection and dedicated accommodation for his 3D printer – practical, accessible, and beautifully presented.
  • A matching solid oak top with clear lacquer finish was also crafted for Mr J’s standing desk, ensuring a completely cohesive look throughout the study.

Design & Functionality

This Congleton study project is a perfect example of how bespoke furniture can balance practicality with real craftsmanship. The combination of closed storage below and open display above keeps the room feeling organised and considered, while the 3D printer has a dedicated home that is both accessible and in keeping with the overall design.

The pairing of Farrow & Ball Caulke Green with solid oak and antique brass hardware creates a study that feels timeless and personal – a space that is clearly designed around the individual who uses it every day.

The matching standing desk top brings the whole room together, ensuring that every surface in the study shares the same quality of finish and attention to detail.

This is Hart Bespoke Furniture at its most considered – furniture that is crafted not just to fill a space, but to genuinely enhance how it is lived and worked in.
