Bespoke Oak Library & Media Wall – Romiley, Cheshire

Hart Bespoke Furniture Ltd designed and installed a striking bespoke library and media wall for Mr and Mrs K in Romiley, Cheshire. Set within a beautiful hall featuring a very high vaulted ceiling and exposed oak beams. The project celebrates traditional craftsmanship while delivering practical, modern storage.

Project Highlights

• Solid Oak Library & Media Wall – The main feature wall was crafted from solid oak. Combining open shelving, concealed storage, and a seamlessly integrated media area.
• Maximised storage – Bespoke storage units were fitted along two other walls. Maximising usable space while maintaining a cohesive and balanced design throughout.
• Three-Zone Integrated Lighting – A carefully planned three-zone lighting system is diffused into the furniture. This allows for different areas of the hall to be illuminated independently while creating a warm, layered atmosphere.
• Architectural Setting – The cabinetry was carefully designed to complement the dramatic vaulted ceiling and exposed oak beams, enhancing the natural character of the space rather than competing with it.
• Hendel & Hendel Handles – Premium Hendel & Hendel handles were selected to add a refined finishing touch. Perfectly suited to the scale and craftsmanship of the project.

Design & Functionality

Every element was tailored to the proportions of the hall, ensuring the cabinetry feels both grand and welcoming. The combination of solid oak, thoughtful detailing, and intelligent storage solutions creates a space that is as functional as it is visually impressive.
